Who we are

Leaders in the provision of innovative and creative solutions to educational settings

We are a mutual trading company co-owned by headteachers. This means that headteachers get to directly shape our services to schools, ensuring our offer is responsive and value for money. We are committed to operating on a not-for-profit basis whereby any profits are reinvested into developing our services or into educational research to benefit the learning community. Open communication and trust is key to our success; whether you're a maintained school or part of a multi academy trust, we would be delighted to discuss with you how we can best meet your needs.

"Octavo have delivered an efficient and effective service to the school over the past couple of years. We use their Clerking service and have also used them for HR advice and a review of Governance and we would unreservedly recommend them. The fact that they are set up as a staff mutual, led by a coalition of their stakeholders, means they are more customer-focused than similar providers we have used in the past."

What people say about us

Caroline Knox
Riddlesdown Collegiate

"A wonderful opportunity for our students to practice their interview skills in preparation for Sixth Form, College, Apprenticeship and Job interviews. Students were able to take away ideas and feedback for improvement. I look forward to providing our current year 9’s with the same experience next year.”"

Michelle Gibbins
Oasis Academy

"Nerves and excitement were all part of the day when our Year 10 students embarked on the fantastic opportunity of gaining the experience of a Mock interview. Students dressed to impress & showed true professionalism in their approach on the day. A wonderful and rewarding day."

Izzy Forrester (Head of Year 11 & Head of Drama)
Archbishop Tenison's High School

"Our EWC’s support and professionalism to Archbishop Tenison’s has been invaluable. She is consistent and quick to respond and works emphatically with pupils and parents. The attendance systems are much more efficient as a result of her knowledge and understanding of attendance matters especially in matters of safeguarding; as a result we have seen improvements in our whole school attendance and as a school, we are more confident to act. She is a great support."
