Teacher Recruitment Fair – Saturday, 3 February 2018

January 24th, 2018

Teacher recruitment is important in every corner of the country at the moment. We are all aware of the ‘recruitment crisis’ and the need to tackle it. The crisis isn’t just about increasing the numbers of teachers in the profession but giving real, clear cut career progression to those already teaching.

We take great pride in the annual Teacher Recruitment event, delivered in partnership with the Croydon Headteachers Association who recognised the need for recruitment initiatives in Croydon. On Saturday 3 February, the event will be returning to the Croydon Park Hotel, between 10am and 1pm.

Featured at the event will be a range of workshops, advice sessions and exhibiting schools. Momentum for the event has grown over the last four years, with over 150 delegates attending last year.

This recruitment fair is an essential, unique event for experienced, new, returning or overseas qualified teachers and for anyone interested in teaching as a career.

In attendance will be representatives from Croydon’s Teaching School Alliances and School Direct providers for those thinking about joining the profession.  Experienced teaching professionals will be able to offer advice on all routes into teaching and be able to answer any specific questions that delegates may have and may even be useful to current students who are thinking about a career in teaching.

For those who are already teaching, or looking to return, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore the options available to you to develop your career. With over 40 exhibitors in attendance, delegates will be able to pick the brains of Headteachers and Senior Leaders from across the borough, gaining tips and advice on the ways in which they can progress and develop their careers.

We are delighted to welcome AirSupply and the London Learning Consortium as guest exhibitors. For those looking for supply teaching options, AirSupply provide an online matching solution to place supply teachers in schools on assignments that work for them. The London Learning Consortium will be on hand to share their knowledge on apprenticeships and learning opportunities.

Now into its fourth year, this hugely enjoyable event is FREE to attend. Throughout the event there will be a series of workshops running, designed to inform, inspire and to support delegates looking to enter the profession or further their career.
