Overview

Effective governance means that all governors around the board table contribute fully to the board’s continual drive for school improvement and that reliance is not placed on a small handful of governors. Effective governance is driven by a collective Board.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools with an annual Octavo Governance training contract.

Description

The material covered in this session will assist in governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 1 (Strategic Leadership), Key Competency 3 (People) and Key Competency 4 (Structures).

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
On completion of the User form please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
