Overview

An effective Governing Board will regularly self-review its effectiveness in discharging the Board’s core strategic governance responsibilities and the impact of governance on school improvement.

Description

This development session will consider the:

Importance of self-evaluating the performance of the Governing Board;
How self-evaluation can be used to develop the effectiveness of the collective Board and its impact on school improvement; and
Self-evaluation tools that are available to Boards.

Booking Information

Please note that a place must be booked beforehand in order to be able to attend the session. Those delegates who have booked a place by 5pm on the day before the session will receive, via an email, a Microsoft Teams meeting link which will be needed to join the Briefing. To ensure the security of the virtual meeting, Governors who have not booked and not been sent the link will not be allowed to join the training session.

For those Governors whose schools have purchased a training contract with Octavo Governance, attendance at this session will be at no additional charge; Governors whose school have not purchased an Octavo Governance training contract are warmly welcome to attend this virtual session for a fee of £50 plus VAT.
