Training course for all levels of manager, both new or experienced.
The course consists of two separate modules which can be booked independently, enabling you to choose the dates that suit you best. However, It is recommended that, in order to acquire the full range of knowledge, you will need to attend both a Module 1 and Module 2 session.
The transition to being a line manager represents a major change in your career. It will bring with it presumptions of knowledge and experience that you may not have and can test your self-confidence and relationships with others.
This course is designed to provide you with some helpful guidance, tools and approaches to supervision and management within a school setting.
The course consists of two separate modules which can be booked independently, enabling you to choose the dates that suit you best.
The second of two half-day interactive training sessions, lead by an experienced HR Consultant, that is designed to provide managers with the tools and soft skills needed in order to manage Employee Relations matters.
Together, the two modules will cover:
>Understanding the purpose of your role as a line manager>Introducing the HR policies that provide the framework for management of staff>Ensuring managers know when they need to hold meetings with their staff>Giving managers confidence to undertake the more difficult conversations that may be necessary from time to time>Understanding when to involve more senior managers> Group discussions> Case studies
