This one day training programme is designed for teaching and support staff working with pupils in primary, secondary and post 16 and special schools on the autism spectrum to:
•Enhance knowledge and understanding of good autism practice•Gain practical examples, ideas and strategies to use with pupils in your setting•Support effective inclusive practice
Octavo Partnership is delighted to offer this highly rated one day training programme which consists of 2 AET courses.The training will support staff to develop their awareness and understanding of the condition as well as provide practical strategies to use with pupils and to overcome barriers to learning and success.
Part 1 is 9.30am – 3.30pm Schools Good Autism PracticeThis accredited training supported by the DfE, enables practitioners to develop their knowledge of good autism practice
Part 2 is 3.45pm – 5.15pm Introduction to the Progression FrameworkThis training provides a framework for setting effective targets for pupils with autism and demonstrating the impact of tailored provision
The training will be delivered by Dr. Jamie Galpin, a chartered developmental psychologist from the Bridge Special School, Islingtion (AET Training hub).
