As part of their strategic role, governors may be required to sit on formal Governor Panels that consider, amongst other issues, staff disciplinaries and pupil exclusions. This development session will focus on the vital role that Clerks play in ensuring the effective running and decision making of Governor Panels.
This course is non-chargeable for those schools with an annual Octavo Governance training contract.
This development session is relevant for both Clerks who have had no previous experience of arranging and clerking Governor Panels and for those Clerks wishing to update and refresh their existing knowledge.
