Ensuring the school supports the effective progress and attainment of all children is a key strategic responsibility of the Governing Board, including a key vulnerable group, the school’s SEND children. Facilitated by an experienced SEND expert, this development session will look at how Governors, and in particular, the nominated SEND Governor, can effectively support and challenge the effectiveness of the school’s SEND provision.
This course is non-chargeable for those schools with an annual Octavo Governance training contract.
The material covered in this session will assist Governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 2 (Accountability) within the Governance Competency Framework.
