Introduction

Further to the challenges of appointing and retaining outstanding quality educational professionals, Octavo are facilitating 3 services to support the recruitment and retention of your newly qualified teachers:

1. NQT Primary Pool:

The primary pool is an easily accessible database of new entrants seeking their first teaching appointment where candidates have been shortlisted and interviewed by experienced senior leaders.

2. CPD (Primary NQT programme and NQT managers programme):

Octavo are pleased to announce that the primary NQT and induction managers training programme for 2016-17 will continue to benefit from a partnership between the Valley Teaching School Alliance and Octavo Partnership. Full details and costs will be published in the summer term for the start of the academic year.

3. NQT Induction & Assessments:

Octavo Partnership acts as the 'appropriate body' on behalf of Croydon local authority for the induction of newly qualified teachers (NQTs). A monitoring, assessment and quality assurance role is undertaken, as set out in the DfE statutory guidance. Full costs will be published in the summer term for the start of the academic year.
