Safeguarding and Early Help - A Briefing for Governors

This will be an interactive session, with a focus on discussion and reflection. There will be the opportunity to consider case studies during the session to aid learning.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

The session will cover

• Principals of Children’s Safeguarding (i.e. safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility)
• The National Agenda and priorities
• The Local Agenda and priorities, early help and safeguarding pathways and the work of the Safeguarding Board
• What do I need to know and support available to schools?

An improved understanding of the work of the Early Help Intervention Team.
