Overview

Peer-to-peer collaboration, support and learning within and across schools are key elements of great professional development. (Three greats for a self-improving school system: pedagogy, professional development and leadership: executive summary NCTL Research Project, led by Louise Stoll Spring, 2015).

Description

This forum provides an opportunity for Year 4 teachers to share good practice and to collaborate with other Year 4 colleagues. Colleagues will explore how to best support learning and progress in Year 4, particularly in relation to English and mathematics.

The meetings will be led by Jane Buckton (English consultant), Ann Longfield (Assessment Lead) and Joanne Wallin (Mathematics consultant).

If schools purchase this annual subscription they may send up to 3 teachers to each forum meeting between April 2017 - March 2018.

Teachers are asked to bring examples of writing collections for children working at age related expectations (for this time of the year).
