DSL Supervision

Description

Supervision is important for all DSLs. Working Together to Safeguard Children states that all safeguarding professionals should be given ‘supervision and support’. Supervision should be an opportunity for you to test out your thinking about a case, have practice constructively challenged and discuss support needs in the context of recognising the emotional impact such work has on practitioners. My research into the experiences of DSLs in England reflected that over 75% of DSLs lack any kind of supervision.
