Overview

An effective governing board undertakes regular, formal visits into school that are sharply focused.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

This training session will consider in further detail, through a mix of discussion and case studies:
•The purpose of focused school visits
•How effective school visits can play a key part in supporting the Governing Board’s role in
oSchool improvement
oIndependent triangulation of data
oEngagement with key stakeholders
•The protocols around school visits and what governors do not do

This training session is suitable for all school governors.

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
On completion of the User form please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
