Overview

This is a new half-term briefing session for all governors (not just Chairs) which has been developed as a direct response to the feedback that we have received from Governors.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

Providing governors with an useful and structured opportunity to interact and share practice with other governors, this session will:
• Provide an update of all Governance related matters
•Look at and discuss the key issues that currently affect the school governance landscape, including changes in regulations and governors’ statutory obligations.
•Include a dedicated Question and Answer session with the governance team, enabling participants to directly address any governance issues they may have.
• Consider the ongoing training needs of Governors and the sessions that can be provided to give Governors the skills they need to be effective

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
On completion of the User form please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
