Overview

This course is for Senior / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads in schools, Early Years settings and colleges and fulfils the statutory requirement for accredited training every two years. It will provide you with a clear understanding of the key responsibilities of this role and how to carry them out effectively in your setting.

Description

This course covers:
Session 1: context, theory, legislation and responsibilities with discussion and an activity
Session 2: practically what the job responsibilities cover and why – children, young people and adults – includes an activity
Session 3: safeguarding scenarios, practical exercises
