Overview

This workshop, led by Jonathan Stewart, School Improvement Adviser for Secondary and Post 16, aims to familiarise Heads of Sixth Forms within the Croydon Borough with the current issues that relate to Post-16 Education as well as to explore effective practice within Sixth form classrooms. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with other Leaders within Post-16 education within Croydon.

Description

The 5 sessions through the day will give us the opportunity to:

•Consider new developments in Post-16 education and changes to GCSE
•Gain a deeper understanding of how the ALPS value added system contributes to sixth form planning and improvement
•Explore strategies to raise student motivation and commitment in the Sixth Form
•Consider additional initiatives to enrich student experience
