Overview

Inform governors on the key points in regards to the Prevent Duty which was introduced on 1 July 2015.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

As of 1st July 2015, the Prevent Duty is the duty in the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, which falls, amongst others, upon schools,
educational settings and childcare providers, to have due regard, in the exercise of their functions,
to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.

This training session is facilitated by a Prevent Duty specialist

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
On completion of the User form please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
