Overview

With over £2Bn allocated annually as pupil premium funding to our schools, and the much discussed impact of Covid-19 on disadvantaged children, the spotlight on Governing Boards’ accountability for how these funds are allocated, and, more importantly, the impact this funding has on diminishing the difference, has never been sharper. Questions about the impact of this funding and how your Pupil Premium children are supported in school are high on any Ofsted inspection checklist.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools with an annual Octavo Governance training contract.

Description

The material covered in this session will assist Governors’ development in relation to Key Competencies 1 (Strategic Leadership), 2 (Accountability) and 5 (Compliance) within the Governor Competency Framework.

Those delegates who have booked a place by 5pm on the day before the session will receive, via an email, a Microsoft Teams meeting link which will be needed to join the session. To ensure the security of the virtual meeting, Governors who have not booked and not been sent the link will not be allowed to join the training session.

For those Governors whose schools have purchased a training contract with Octavo Governance, attendance at these sessions will be at no additional charge; Governors whose school have not purchased an Octavo Governance training contract are warmly welcome to attend our virtual sessions for a fee of £105 plus VAT per delegate per session.
