Overview

Recent DfE guidance recommends the use of social stories to support the return to school for pupils with autism and other additional needs.
This workshop will provide information about the purpose and use of social stories as well as practical tips on how to create and tailor social stories for your own pupils.
It is suitable for SENCOs, inclusion team members, support staff and other support staff working closely with pupils with SEND
The session will be led by Judith Lunnon, Croydon LA School Improvement Adviser.

Description

This session will be useful to anyone interested in using the social stories to support the return to school for children with autism and other needs as well as a tool to support greater social understanding of situations associated with daily schools, including school routines and rules and expectations around social interaction
