Overview

School and Governor life is busy with little time to reflect on decisions made and the learning from those decisions.
This interactive and CONFIDENTIAL session has been designed to give governors the opportunity to reflect on their learning, discuss outcomes with peers and consider alternative courses of action.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

Governors can bring anonymised details of something that went really well, as well as complaints, disciplinary’s, exclusions and any other decision making outcomes to scrutinise for key learning points and reflection. The objective for this session is to take the time to consider working practices and how processes can be improved. Reflective practice can also be used for addressing issues of position, conflict, resistance and relationships.

The material covered in this training session will assist governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 1 (strategic Leadership) and Key Competency 6 (Evaluation) within the Governor Competency Framework.

This interactive training session will be facilitated by Caroline Davies and Michelle Graydon
