Understanding the role of data in holding school leaders to account | Octavo Partnership

Course Date

29 Nov 2021 18:00 – 19:30

Overview

One of the tools that Governors and Trustees use to hold their school and Trust leadership team to account is pupil assessment data. All Governors are expected to use data in order to ask constructively challenging questions of their leadership team. Furthermore, with the cancellation of statutory primary assessments for the second consecutive year, the role of the Board with respect to education accountability has become more challenging.

Description

The material covered in this session will assist Governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 1 (Strategic Leadership) and Key Competency 2 (Accountability) within the Governance Competency Framework.
