Overview

This one day session is for Chairs of Boards and Committees and aspiring Chairs to enable effective leadership in school governance

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services contract.

Description

The course will allow governors the opportunity to reflect on their leadership skills and widen their understanding of how you influence, lead and manage others. The trainer will take you trough coaching methods, leading teams and challenging conversations. Governors will also explore how to avoid the pitfalls of poor time management and how to delegate. As a chair, strategic planning is a key component of your role and you will have the opportunity to consider how best to engage the whole board.

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
On completion of the User form please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
