Overview

A course over five sessions to support teachers new to subject leadership in Mathematics or English. The first day will be spent exploring the generic roles of a subject leader and will consider in more detail subject specific aspects of their work. The subsequent sessions will focus on raising attainment in English and Mathematics through developing the subject leader’s role. The course will include specific input on data analysis, action planning and monitoring activities.The final day will focus on how a subject leader measures and demonstrates the impact of their work. One session will consist of a school based, 1-1 support meeting provided by an Octavo consultant, date to be arranged individually.
