Overview

As part of their strategic leadership role, governors are required to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development and understand how Ofsted will evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the schools provision.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

The material covered in this session will assist governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 1 (Strategic Leadership) and Key Competency 5 (Compliance) within the Governor Competency Framework.

This training session will be facilitated by an external training session, Bill Bolloten, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the delivery of SMSC within schools and how schools can effectively embed British Values into their vision and values.
