Overview

Ofsted have recognised that able learners are a key vulnerable group, including disadvantage most able.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools within the Governor Services SLA.

Description

Governors play a significant role in monitoring the progress and impact of the provision in place to support their schools able learners.
As a result of attending this interactive training course governors will gain a better understanding of the strategic questions the board should be asking about able learning provision and where the pupil premium grant has been used effectively to improve progress of this vulnerable group.

The material covered in this training session will assist governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 2 (Accountability) within the Governor Competency Framework.
