Overview

This introduction to the work of school governance is strongly recommended for all new and recently appointed governors of both maintained and academy schools.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools that have a Governor Services contract.

Description

The material covered in this session will assist with developing governors’ understanding of the key six features that contribute to effective governance as identified within the Governor Competency Framework.

Please note that if your school has not purchased a training package from Octavo Partnership Governor Services, there will be a charge of £104 (for an evening course) or £208 (for a day course).
When completing the user form, please ensure you have added the name and position of the person who has authorised payment for the course (Chair of Governors/Principal/Headteacher). This is for invoicing purposes.
